NCR provides a range of in-warranty service upgrade options for select NCR point-of-sale (POS) products and peripherals. You will gain access to a fleet of retail industry experts, industry-leading service processes and methodologies, and highly qualified service and support technicians to keep your business up and running.


On-site hardware maintenance

On-site maintenance provides rapid diagnosis and resolution of technical issues to get your retail systems back into service, minimizing disruptions for customers. A variety of options are available to suit your business needs and budget.


Depot repair services

Depot repair provides an economical support option from a leader in service and support of retail technology. With depot repair services, POS peripherals and devices are sent to a central NCR repair facility, where a highly qualified technician performs the required maintenance and repairs. An Advanced Exchange option is also available, which provides a faster return to service for equipment via our next-day option.


End-to-end problem management

NCR takes ownership of your service requests as soon as they are created. Throughout the resolution process, your issues are proactively monitored to ensure the appropriate resources are working to get your systems back up and running as quickly as possible—from the initial trouble ticket to full resolution.


A wide range of service options

Warranty service upgrade options are summarized below:


On-Site Repair

7x12, Next day

  • Between 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., 7 days a week.
  • Service representative scheduled to arrive at your site the day after receipt of your call.

5x9, Next business day

  • Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., excluding NCR holidays.
  • Service representative scheduled to arrive at your site the next business day after receipt of your call.

Depot Repair

Standard Depot

  • Mail-in service with a 10-day turnaround from unit receipt. NCR pays outbound ground shipping to customer site.
  • Calls accepted until 6 p.m. ET Monday–Friday and until 12 p.m. ET Saturday.

Advanced Exchange Services

  • Overnight exchange replacement Monday–Friday, next business day (excluding holidays). NCR pays outbound ground shipping to customer site.
  • Calls accepted until 6 p.m. ET Monday–Friday and until 12 p.m. ET Saturday.

NCR base warranty coverage and in-warranty service upgrades are available for select NCR point-of-sale (POS) products purchased in the United States. In-warranty service upgrades must be ordered with the original product purchase. The service period begins with the date of equipment purchase or installation. The available options vary by equipment type and model and all options may not be offered for your equipment.
