Remote Compute

Remote compute includes a number of cloud-based, subscription, and as-a-service offerings around your company’s infrastructure, desktops, and data to ensure you have access to the applications you need at any time and from anywhere—whether from home or on the go. For businesses that are looking to provide consistent services and management across their organizations, these services are key.

Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)

A form of cloud computing that provides virtualized computing resources over the internet. Companies who have a distributed workforce can leverage IaaS to centralize infrastructure and management of their storage, networking resources, and web and application servers.

Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS)

With DaaS, your desktop operating systems and support infrastructure run inside virtual machines on servers in a cloud provider’s data center. Remote workers simply access these virtual desktops through client software or a web browser. Organizations typically pay no up-front costs and only pay for the virtual desktops they use each month.

Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) and Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS)

For organizations who provide mission critical services, DRaaS or BaaS solutions could be extremely helpful. These third-party hosted services provide replication and/or hosting services to provide failover in the event of man-made or natural catastrophes. With BaaS, your data is safely stored where you can get to it—but not necessarily in immediately workable form—whereas with DRaaS you can be up and running in no time.
