SCANSOURCE POS & BARCODING PARTNER CONFERENCE DELIVERS BUSINESS-BUILDING INFORMATION, MOTIVATION TO ATTENDEES

At the annual event, the company’s reseller and vendor partners come together with ScanSource employees to discuss opportunities for growth, hear from industry experts and network. This year’s conference had a new focus, as well – giving back.

Mike Baur, ScanSource, Inc. CEO, kicked off the conference to more than 300 reseller partners with a review of the keys to ScanSource’s value-added business model and an overview of challenges and opportunities for the year ahead. ScanSource POS & Barcoding President Jeff Yelton discussed trends in the industry, as well as the leading technologies for resellers to focus on to grow their business. What’s more, resellers learned of new sales tools available for continued success from Brenda McCurry, Sales Team Leader; the importance of partnerships from Mark Morgan, VP of Sales; and an update on the cloud from Greg Dixon, ScanSource, Inc. CTO.

In support of its Conference message promoting the benefits of partnering and being “Better Together”, ScanSource also brought in two inspirational keynote speakers, Doc Hendley and Roy Spence, who discussed the power of “having a passionate purpose in your business” and the benefits of working together for the greater good. Hendley is President and Founder of Wine To Water, a non-profit aid organization focused on providing clean drinking water to those in need around the world. Spence is Co-Founder and Chairman of GSD&M, a leading national marketing communications and advertising company and Co-Founder and CEO of The Purpose Institute.
