CATALYST TELECOM AUTHORIZED TO DISTRIBUTE AVAYA NES SOLUTIONS

GREENVILLE, SC - March 17, 2010 - Catalyst Telecom, a sales unit of ScanSource, Inc. {NASDAQ: SCSC}, and value-added distributor of voice, video and data convergence solutions, has expanded its relationship with Avaya by adding Avaya NES solutions to its offering for channel partners. Avaya NES solutions are the former Nortel voice and data solutions that recently joined the Avaya portfolio. Catalyst is Avaya’s largest value-added distributor in the U.S.

Through this relationship, Catalyst Telecom’s reseller partners will have access to the comprehensive line of Avaya NES solutions, including:
• Small- to medium-enterprise solutions - Norstar, Business Communication Manager (BCM) and Software Communications Server (SCS)
• Unified Communication solutions - CS1000 and Callpilot;
• Contact Center solutions;
• Data networking products, including solutions for Ethernet Switching, Routers, Wireless Networking, Access Control and Unified Management.

In addition, resellers will have access to the value-added services that Catalyst Telecom provides, including its industry-leading training program, which encompasses technical and product training classes, as well as sales readiness and successful prospecting techniques. Catalyst Telecom’s sales team has received extensive training on Avaya’s integrated portfolio and has products in stock and ready to ship.

“We are very pleased Catalyst Telecom is bringing the full Avaya NES voice and data solution set onboard to serve channel partners,” said Mike Reid, vice president, North America Distribution, Avaya. “Together, we will build our market momentum to serve customers through a single, highly skilled and responsive channel resource.”

“Our strong relationship with Avaya and our extensive technical and sales experience in the voice and data networking space ensure that our resellers will receive the value-added services and support they need to effectively grow and market their Avaya NES solutions,” said John Black, president of Catalyst Telecom.

"As Avaya's largest value-added reseller, it's critical that we work with a value-added distributor that can help us effectively meet the demands of our end-user customers," said Tom Roles, president and CEO, NACR, a Catalyst Telecom business partner. "Catalyst Telecom is that distributor. They provide the solutions we need when we need them. And their team delivers the knowledge, expertise, service and support we require, while also helping us to maintain a strong relationship with Avaya. We're very pleased that they will now be carrying Avaya's NES solutions."

“We were pleased to hear that Catalyst was adding the new Avaya voice and data products for a number of reasons,” said Tim McDermott, president, MAC Source Communications, Inc., a Catalyst Telecom business partner. “We can continue to deal with folks that we are familiar with and who are familiar with us and the ways that we each conduct business. Additionally, from our long experience with Catalyst, we know that we can expect the appropriate sales support and inventory levels for products that we’ll be selling, and finally, that Catalyst will provide tools to us that will simplify the process along the way and make it easier to do business with Avaya.”
