GREENVILLE, SC - April 09, 2008 - Catalyst Telecom, a sales unit of ScanSource, Inc. {NASDAQ: SCSC}, and value-added distributor of voice, video and data convergence solutions, is taking its successful CommEdge program on the road to inform, educate and train resellers about the vast opportunities available in the communications and convergence space. Catalyst developed CommEdge in an effort to support resellers’ convergence salespeople by providing four business-building pillars: education and training, converged solutions, support services, and marketing and sales tools.

When CommEdge was first introduced, Catalyst Telecom provided ample education to resellers on the value of learning and selling convergence – from increased efficiencies to overall cost-savings. CommEdge will now take that education to the next level by delivering the hands-on tools resellers need to compete in the industry and succeed with their end-user customers. By aggregating product information, bundling vendor solutions, providing reference architectures, visual representations of sample configurations, and sample quotes, resellers can find all the information they need on one web site and at one Road Show. What’s more, Catalyst is adding specialized elements to the program, with dedicated mobility and security portions.

The CommEdge Road Shows are a key tool Catalyst is providing its resellers that delivers on all four of the initiative’s pillars. At this informative educational event, resellers will see converged solutions in action, take away key marketing and sales tools, and have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with Catalyst Telecom’s highly trained technical support representatives. The 2008 Road Show schedule is:

April 22 - Costa Mesa, CA
April 24 - Dallas, TX
May 20 - New York
June 10 - Atlanta, GA
June 12 – Chicago, IL

“We want to help resellers learn the technology, better position their solutions, and remain viable in this increasingly competitive market. CommEdge enables our resellers to deliver the partnership and support end-users need,” said John Black, president of Catalyst Telecom.”

Sponsors of the CommEdge initiative are: ADTRAN, APC, Aruba Networks, Avaya, Bluesocket, Extreme Networks, Juniper Networks, Meru Networks, Multi-Tech, Polycom, Powerware and SonicWALL.
