IN THE NEWS:  Dialogic's BorderNet SBC achieves tekVizionVerified status

Dialogic has announced that tekVizion has successfully completed SIP-trunk interoperability testing for Dialogic between the BorderNet™ Session Border Controller (SBC) and 10 industry-leading enterprise IP PBX systems.

According to international IHS Markit research, in North America, SIP trunks are expected to surpass legacy connections for enterprise voice-communication systems within the next year. SBCs are expected to continually be a critical component in securing native SIP connections.

The Dialogic BorderNet SBC was put through a rigorous set of test cases during the past four months to verify interoperability with Avaya Aura Communication Manager 7.07, Cisco Unified Communications Manager 11.5, Cisco Call Manager Express (CME), Microsoft Skype for Business 2015, Unify OpenScape, ShoreTel Connect ONSITE, Panasonic KX-NS700 and KX-NS1000, Mitel MiVoice Business, NEC UNIVERGE SV9300, and Allworx Connect.

The BorderNet SBC is a flexible, single-software SBC scaling from 25 sessions to 100,000 sessions per instance, that can be deployed on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms, or in virtualized and cloud environments including VMware, KVM, and Amazon EC2.  Key features include software-based encryption and media transcoding, as well as a powerful SIP header and SDP manipulation capability for ease of interworking. Integrated voice quality monitoring (VQM) supports SLA management and reporting.

“Demonstrating the versatility, flexibility, and reliability of Dialogic BorderNet SBC, we were able to swiftly complete the interoperability testing, which is backed up by our unprecedented #tekVizionVerified guarantee,” said Simon Richards, Managing Director at tekVizion.

“Dialogic continues to aggressively focus our efforts on the all-software BorderNet SBC product and solution enhancements for the continued market evolution to all-IP. Our goal is to meet and exceed service provider requirements and expectations for an agile and flexible SIP-trunking solution component that can significantly reduce total cost of ownership (TCO),” said Jim Machi, SVP of Product Management and Marketing at Dialogic.
