Acquiring POS Products for Demonstration or Development
Toshiba offers a Demonstration or Development program for business partners to obtain Toshiba hardware products at a reduced discount or reasonable monthly payment. These programs enable Business Partners (BPs) to have a system for trade shows, demonstrations in end-user accounts, or to develop a software for the hardware.
- During a 12-month period, a BP can acquire up to 40 of each machine type they are approved to market (i.e. – 40 4820s, 40 4852s, 40 4610s, etc.).
- Product can be obtained through a) outright purchase or b) IGF Leasing, if qualified. In either case, outright purchases or lease payments are eligible for reimbursement through PartnerRewards.
- Process to receive products takes a minimum of 4-6 weeks.

- BP is given an 80% discount.
- Order is placed through Distributor.
- Distributor processes order through Toshiba.
- Product must be retained for a minimum of 12 months. After the 12-month period the product can be sold as used.

- Qualifications for IGF Lease:
- Minimum deal size: $25,000 in Canada; $5,000 in the United States
- BP agrees to keep equipment at least 12 months.
- BP must be a current or approved customer of IGF.
- Lease term is for 24 months; monthly charge is 1% total list price. Note: Minimum monthly lease payment will be $100.
- Order is placed through Distributor, requesting an IGF Development/Demonstration Lease.
- Distributor processes order through Toshiba.
- At the end of the lease, the product is returned to Toshiba.
Note: Orders must be fulfilled from Toshiba and will take 4-6 weeks.
