DEMONSTRATION EQUIPMENT

Acquiring POS Products for Demonstration or Development

Toshiba offers a Demonstration or Development program for business partners to obtain Toshiba hardware products at a reduced discount or reasonable monthly payment. These programs enable Business Partners (BPs) to have a system for trade shows, demonstrations in end-user accounts, or to develop a software for the hardware. 

  1. During a 12-month period, a BP can acquire up to 40 of each machine type they are approved to market (i.e. – 40 4820s, 40 4852s, 40 4610s, etc.).
  2. Product can be obtained through a) outright purchase or b) IGF Leasing, if qualified. In either case, outright purchases or lease payments are eligible for reimbursement through PartnerRewards.
  3. Process to receive products takes a minimum of 4-6 weeks.

 

Decision to Outright Purchase Decision to Seek IGF Lease
  1. BP is given an 80% discount.
  2. Order is placed through Distributor.
  3. Distributor processes order through Toshiba.
  4. Product must be retained for a minimum of 12 months. After the 12-month period the product can be sold as used.
  1. Qualifications for IGF Lease:
    1. Minimum deal size: $25,000 in Canada; $5,000 in the United States 
    2. BP agrees to keep equipment at least 12 months.
    3. BP must be a current or approved customer of IGF.
  2. Lease term is for 24 months; monthly charge is 1% total list price. Note: Minimum monthly lease payment will be $100.
  3. Order is placed through Distributor, requesting an IGF Development/Demonstration Lease.
  4. Distributor processes order through Toshiba.
  5. At the end of the lease, the product is returned to Toshiba.

Note: Orders must be fulfilled from Toshiba and will take 4-6 weeks.
