There are two RMS tests – one for the Store Operations product and one for the Headquarters product. You are only required to pass the Store Operations test to purchase the Store Operations product. If you wish to purchase the Headquarters product you must pass the Headquarters test. Cost is $125 per test. E-learning courses are available for each test. Information on how to take the test(s) and e-course(s) will be included in the email you will receive with your account number and certification steps. (See step 2)

Follow these steps to become Microsoft certified. Please read all 4 steps before submitting your information.

1. You must be (or become) a Scansource reseller to complete your registration form. If you do not have a ScanSource account number, click here to download a free ScanSource credit application and fax it (along with a copy of your states resale certificate) to 864-675-1537. You will be emailed a ScanSource account number within 7 business days.
   
   
2. Click here to submit your information via the online registration form.
   
   1. ScanSource will submit your information to Microsoft on your behalf.
      
   2. You will receive an email from ScanSource (within 5 business days) which will include your new MBS account number and instructions on what to do next.
      
      
3. Microsoft will send you a RMS Resource Kit with a RMS Partner Reference Book. This kit includes a full version of the Store Operations software and a demo of the headquarters software. You will receive this Resource Kit within 10 business days of receiving your MBS account number.
   
   
4. Successfully pass your certification(s) and fax your test results to 864-286-4544. Your successful test results along with your MBS account number and ScanSource account number will allow you to purchase the software from ScanSource and begin selling the Microsoft product.
